Ever since I started using Estimated Delivery Date Pro, it has resulted in improved conversion rates and AOVs. The app seamlessly integrates into our Shopify store, allowing me to showcase accurate delivery dates right at the product page. Put yourself in your customer's shoes, you will want to know when to expect your delivery not just a simple 5-7 days but an estimated delivery date such as by April 4th for example. 75.1% of customers indicated that putting an EDD on the product page or in the cart positively influences their decision to buy an item according to research by Get Convey research Baymard Institute's checkout usability study showed that what users care about isn't “shipping speed” but rather the specific date of delivery, like “when will I receive my order?”
We too are merchants and have several Shopify stores. Over the years we have understood that transparency of shipping times and the price of shipping to customers builds trust and increases conversion rates - more importantly improves customer retention. We found that not being upfront with these and resulted in unecessary frustrations for customers. Even when the information was displayed on a seperate delivery information page, it still wasn't enough - customer's tend to have higher expectations on delivery and managing these expectations on the product page is very important. 64% of customers looked for shipping costs on the product page before adding a product to the cart according to Baymard research
Currently, the app does not support Shopify calculated shipping rates nor rates generated by 3rd party apps. Due to Shopify's lack of/complexity in providing shipping information on the frontend, we have focused specifically on using data from the Shipping Profiles you create for your shop only for the time-being. If you would like this feature to be added, please do reach out to us so we can determine the popularity.
When you save a delivery date template for product or collection the app checks for the handle (unique url path of the product/collection) and uses this to check against when displaying delivery dates on your website. If you delete a product the delivery date template will remain but will no longer show. If however, you created a new product with the same handle it will display for this newly created product - if you don't want this to happen we suggest that you delete templates you no longer use.
Our app is feature-rich already but we will try to accomodate any requests. Please note that we may need to assess demand for certain feature requests before implimenting depending on complexity. Please do feel free to reach out to us via Support or Chat.
We provide extensive documentation within the Shopify app itself.
We offer email and chat support within our Shopify app which you can message us using the link at the top of the Help page or alternatively, you can use Live Chat by clicking the blue bubble in the lower left of the screen. We understand that shops run 24/7 and aim to reply to each query within 24 hours Monday to Sunday - some requests may take a little longer depending on complexity.
